What this is
A room for daily growth
Song House is a daily online community with weekly live sessions alongside Tyler Ward, the Song House team, and working industry pros.
- Every dayA room full of artists and creatives who get itPeople who understand why art exists in the first place. They’re not chasing viral content. They’re chasing true content. These are the people you walk the journey with, because they’re walking it too.
- Every weekWe meetLive every week with Tyler, the Song House team, or somebody from the industry.
- Every monthStay challengedA new challenge every month. Right now it’s Story Songs: find the moment that changed you, turn it into a song, perform it for the room, and one artist gets flown to Nashville.
Do that for a year and you stop waiting to be picked.

Song House grew my songwriting from a beginner to leading writing rooms at a professional level. It's the best parts of the Nashville creative scene: high level and hospitable.

Everybody who walks in thinks they might be the only one here who isn't good enough. Then they write. Here is what happens after.

Who is behind this
Tyler Ward
Hey friend,
Can I tell you a secret? I felt like a fraud for years. I was a kid in my parents’ basement in Colorado with a guitar and a mission to make music for a living. Every day a voice told me I had no business trying. The plan was to be a teacher. I was already in school for it. But I chose music anyway. Not because I was brave. Because I had to.
So if you’ve ever said I have to do this, I know you. I’ve been you.
Nobody was coming to discover me. There was no magic moment. I just kept showing up, one ordinary day after another. Those ordinary days turned into five worldwide headlining tours, opening for Switchfoot and The Fray, and songs with Jason Derulo and Earth, Wind & Fire. Then came the thing I thought would save me: a major label deal. I signed. Two years later, I willingly walked away.
But the thing I needed most was never a record deal. It was never the recognition. It was a room where people were willing to tell the truth, where creatives were free to fully be themselves, where nobody had to chase this dream alone. I couldn’t find that room, so we built it. That’s Song House.
You’re not a fraud. You’re just built for this.
I’m in that room every week, right alongside you. Come tell your story.

What kind of artist are you?
Part one of your Artist DNA is our free look at how you are wired as a creative: how you write, how you take feedback, and what stalls you. How are you creatively wired? This test was designed just like the Enneagram. A few honest minutes, and your result lands in your inbox. It is the first thing we would do together anyway.

Straight answers
How much time does this take?
As much as you give it. The room is open every day and nothing expires, so people who can only show up twice a week still get somewhere. We meet live at least once a week, sometimes more, and every one of those is recorded.
What if I am not good yet?
Then you are exactly who this is built for. Nobody walks in finished. Most people arrive convinced they are the only one in here who is not good enough, and then they write, and they find out everybody thought that.
What kind of feedback do I actually get?
Honest. Dishonesty does no service to anybody. It will come in the form of love and kindness, and nobody here pretends to have all the answers either.
What if I cannot make the live call?
Every live session is recorded and posted in the Academy, and everything lands on your calendar tab. Drop your question ahead of time and watch the answer later. Nobody falls behind for having a job.
Is this in person or online?
Both. This is the online community, the place you keep your season moving when you are not in a room with people doing what you are doing. Camps are the in person side, and you are always welcome there. And if you get called up to join a session at Song House, we will let you know.
Will Song House make me successful?
No, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Song House will not save you. What we can promise is that if you stick with it, you will become a better artist. That one we can actually promise. You are responsible for what you do with what you learn here and the relationships you build here. There is no shortcut. Tyler checked.
Will I be part of the Song House team?
Maybe, and nobody is going to dangle it to keep you here. Nobody is owed a call up. Show up consistently, write great songs, tell true stories, and you get flagged as somebody to watch. If you are ever invited to something in Nashville it is because we saw something exceptional in you, and that does not disqualify anybody else in this space. Spots are earned, never owed. Right now everybody here is standing on the same line. Do not worry about being chosen. Worry about being consistent and being true. The rest takes care of itself.
